Sharing my stash...

I've wanted to be sharing the stash all week, but just couldn't coordinate daytime photo sessions and internet access. But here I am, better in at the end than not at all!

Those of you who have been taunting me with visions of loveliness from your stashtastic lives all week, here are a few back at ya.

The rich satiny colours above were given to me recently by a colleague who has caught the cross-stitching bug and who doesn't sew a lot anymore. There's half a meter each of five colours, plus white. I wish I had a little girl in my life who wanted a fairy princess costume, because these would be perfect for a wild and wonderful girly skirt! Maybe sometime.

The tweeds - they remind me of Welsh woolens - are two that I nherited or picked up in the UK. There's enough for a skirt, and just a scrap of the stiff woolen one in front. I don't know what I'll make with them.

Two new acquisitions: the farmyard fabric was bought recently at Flashback and blogged here. I designed the entire summer quilt around these colours, but now that it's almost time to put the farmyard fabric on the back, I can hardly bear to cut it. That's why I'm planning to use it in one great big piece. I adore those kids and the houses, the farms and trees.

I'm planning to make a handbag of the blue-and-white heavy-weight glazed fabric in the front. It's slightly shimmery, and would look fantastic with a couple of big brown leather handles.

There's more, but that's where I'm at for now!

I love the stash - what great stuff you have. I really like the farmyard. I must pop into Flashback sometime ... I think I would like it there.

Can't wait to see the quilt and the handbag!

Don't you just love it when someone else cleans out their stash and just hands you piles of fabric....just like Christmas!

The farmyard scene is amazing - love the washing line. great colours too.

Oh definitely, it was the colours of the farmyard fabric, and the bit with the washing on the line that made me buy it. And design the whole scrap quilt of colours to go with it!
