Squeaking in under the wire: it's still Sunday, see! (Did anyone ELSE forget that the clocks changed last night? So embarrassing to learn about it from the girl at the cinema ticket booth - who looked at me and sighed, and said "Didn't you know about daylight savings?" Well, no - I just thought I'd ruck up an hour late and watch the movie anyway. I heard it's got a slow start.
- Jeesh!)
Anyway, we'll tell ya all about it tomorrow, since it turned out to be a bit of a marathon evening.
This is....
My favourite kitchen gadget
When I mentioned to Mr. Tacc that this is the theme for this week, he said "But you're my favourite kitchen gadget! You make all the best things!"
Unfortunately, this seeming-compliment backfired and blew up in the poor lad's face like the proverbial gunpowder. I almost went on a food-prep strike. But I'm sure he didn't mean it quite like that, so after grumbling and giving my life partner dark looks from under my fringe, forgiveness returned. (Just like the reaction Big Cat anticipated from Ms L.) That is, I got hungry and made lunch.
I wouldn't mind an outdoor oven like the one in the picture above, at the farm we stayed at near Urbino in July. (*sigh*)
My favourite gadget? Well, as the daughter of the Kitchen Gadget Queen herself, recipient of great gadgets of all shapes and sizes for many years, I had lots to choose from, but.....
We loveses our coffee.

You can't beat a good coffee percolator! (Though that outdoor oven would be nice!)
Coffee is definitely a winner!
I had a good laugh about the chic at the cinema. Oh dear......Yep, I've been caught out before too!
Yep, it's hard to go past a good pot of brew. Definitely!
Ooh that's the best gadget I've seen! I spent some time at Urbania, near Urbino, where I learnt opera singing, Italian language and Italian home cooking- it was the most beautiful plave and experience!
I've been on cooking strike ("annual leave from cooking") for about two weeks, but Mr. Bell cooked dinner last night so the strike is probably over. It was a great fortnight of meals out and takeaway, and the occasional piece of bread for dinner :)
Coffee making equipment is certainly up there on the list.
Your comment about the girl at the movies made me laugh out loud.
Bellgirl, you went to Urbania? So did we!! We loved it - the Giro d'Italia was on at the time, we got drenched with ran, we didn't care... Mr. Tacc blogged it here:

Bodum Bodum Bodum Bodum
That is all. (not surprisingly, also coffee related)
