Thinking....

About family. This is a photo of my Great-Grandmother holding my Grandmother. In 1915. Don't they look gorgeous?

We're awaiting the arrival of the next generation, any day now - a son due for my sister, in Canada. The farm animals baby quilt's almost done, and I'll have some pics on the weekend. All I need now's a name (will you decide when you meet him, geeker?) and a date to embroider on the label, and we're off.... (Well, from my perspective, of course. I'm sure this all looks a little different to my sis!)

I can't wait to see it finished and I'm sure your sister will love it to bits!

What a beautiful photo. Apart from a couple of aspects of your great grandmother's outfit, its hard to pick that it was taken 94 years ago.

Can't wait to hear about new family member's arrival and see the sewn goodies.

A wonderful photo. Isn't it wonderful being able to look back through time and imagine their lives? All the best for a safe and healthy delivery of your sister's baby ....

Wow, babies are timeless, eh? Mummies too. It's unusual and really lovely to see a candid photo from this era.
